HubSpot’s Breeze Intelligence Form Shortening lets you have it both ways. It dynamically shortens your forms using one of the world’s largest commercial enrichment datasets — so your visitors only fill out what’s actually needed, while your CRM still gets the full picture.
Here’s how it works, why it matters, and how to get started.
Form shortening in HubSpot uses real-time enrichment data from Breeze Intelligence to automatically prefill form fields behind the scenes.
When a visitor enters their business email, Breeze checks it against its commercial database. If it finds a match, all known fields (like company name, size, industry, revenue, etc.) are auto-filled and hidden. The visitor only sees the fields you don’t already know.

Here’s what happens when a visitor hits your form:
They enter their email address (this is the only field shown at first).
HubSpot checks Breeze Intelligence’s enrichment dataset for a match.
If data exists:
Enriched fields are auto-completed and hidden
Only unmatched fields remain visible
If there’s no match:
The form appears in full, so you don’t miss anything
Bonus: Any enriched field will be marked with an AI icon in the form submission history — so your team knows where the data came from.

Form shortening is available with any HubSpot subscription, as long as you’re using the updated form editor and have HubSpot Credits for enrichment.

Go to Settings > Data Enrichment > Tools
Toggle the Form Shortening switch ON
Go to Marketing > Forms
Create or edit a form
In the left panel, click the ⚙️ icon and toggle Form Shortening ON
Go to Forms > Actions > View Submissions
Look for the 🧠 AI icon next to enriched fields
Pair it with lead scoring: Use behavior + enrichment data to prioritize the hottest leads
Use progressive profiling: Ask different questions on return visits to build a more complete profile over time
Set up routing rules: Automatically assign leads based on company size, industry, or geo
